Band Centennial History Exhibit on Campus

I am happy to report that I have just finished installing the exhibit "Musical Milestone: Celebrating the Centennial of the University of Maryland Bands" in the first floor lobby of Hornbake Library. I hope you all will have an opportunity to come by and see it. Many of the images are drawn from our work on the history book, but there are a few new ones in there as well.

John and I went this afternoon to see the exhibit. There are great photographs and memorbilia on display. Anne did a wonderful job of capturing the spirit of the bands!

While there for the Homecoming Weekend Celebrations last October, many of us from the 1955-65 Terp Ban (Henderson's Gang) saw the 100 years of the Maryland Bands exhibit. It was excellent. Our hats are off to Anne Turkos, the Maryland Library Archivist and Richard Taylor, long time Band Historian. Thanks to all involved!!!!!!!
