New UMBAO Web Site

Welcome to the new UMBAO web site! We hope that you'll find this redesign to be both more intuitive and useful.

The new site was built by Noah Lazar, UMBAO webmaster, with copywriting help from all of the UMBAO officers. It uses the Drupal open source content management system, so we'll be able to offer lots of new features over the plain-HTML old site.

Some of the new features include:

  • Up-to-date announcements from multiple authors, including the band directors, UMBAO officers, and other major contributers.
  • Commenting on all news articles — we love your feedback and questions!
  • RSS feeds for the main news page and all category pages.
  • Better events listing in our new Staying Involved section.
  • Site-wide content search
  • Register online for Homecoming through PayPal

We have lots of upcoming features in the works, such as discussion forums, directly editing your own contact information, alumni business directory, and much more.

Please let us know if you have any questions or suggestions!

Bit of sad news just found out. Jim Carl who marched in the early sixties passed away last tuesday. Here is a link:

Just a note to express heartfelt praise to all of those who made the Centennial Homecoming such a memorial experience. Everything was well organized and the results were right up there with the best of the best. It was an honor to have been part of celebration. Congratulations to all.
